- Purpose of this study is to evaluate the difference between high school level students’ environmental sensitiveness at North Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Face to face interviews are carried out to reach the informative level of these students under the heading of environmental sensitivity. Sample data of the research is composed of the high school students studying in the period of 2012-2013 at Northern Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan. 180 students involved in the research and they are divided into 3 main parts by equal share (60 each) to the countries. Data is collected at students appropriate times by interview method from the dates of 15 April until 30th of May. Different dimensions of the high school students are tried to be driven out of the interviews. Questionnaire is prepared in accordance with the actual environmental problems. Formal content analysis method is used for analyzing the data collected. The results that were sorted out of the analysis are supported with the literature and helped for a better reading. For years and years, it is easy to observe how missing environmental consciousness is dreadful in peoples’ lives. Environmentally conscious individuals always try to stop the nature’s unfortunate destiny. One of the best ways to raise this consciousness is to direct the youth towards trustful educationary institutions. At this point environmental education is quite important. This study investigates the informative levels of high school students and their environmental sensitiveness. When North Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan’s course programs are searched out, one can easily see how they are far away from being interrelated, irrelevant and insufficient.
