Detailed notes
    - This video is superb, both content and photography. It follows different Killer whale pods throughout the world, showing their lives as a family unit and how they have adapted hunting techniques to live on different prey according to their environment. They are ruthless killers at the top of their food chain and seeing them playing with prey like a cat does, isn't easy viewing when the prey is still alive and trying hopelessly to escape. The film does make the point that this behaviour is important to the whale's survival and needed to teach calves. Each pod is different and the efforts of people who research these mammals are also shown. Apart from the hunter role, this film also shows a mammal who has a gentle, strong family orientated life, illustrating an intelligence which commands our respect. Much remains to be learnt about this amazing whale. You will be left fascinated and wanting to know more.
